Stead Tenant Bulletin

Just a reminder, with a slight time change:

C-130-Assault-Ldg

Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1st there will be  C130 aircraft training at the Stead Airport in the afternoon.

The skills that they will be practicing include each plane dropping on container load by parachute at the N. end of our property and then practicing assault landings on our runway 14/32.

Their planned timing is:

2:30pm- each airplane will fly over the drop zone (DZ) and drop 1 CDS per plane at 1000’ above the ground, then;

Until 3:30pm- the aircraft will perform assault landings and takeoffs on RWY 14 and 32.

Ground staff will set up marker panels alongside RWY 14/32 for landing practice, but there should not be any interference with other runway users.

Gates on Lemmon Drive will be closed at 2:00 pm and re-opened by 7:00 am June 2.

The reason the airplanes are using Stead is that their normal training airfield is closed for construction.

Have a wonderful evening & stay safe out there.
