Reno-Stead Pavement Surveys This Week

The drawing below depicts where Stantec plans to survey pavement conditions beginning this week.

To meet FAA guidelines we evaluate pavement continuously. In our case we do about 1/3 of our total every year. Stantec processes pavement condition reports for our management and engineering teams to use for programming maintenance and replacement projects.

As you can see, we do not plan to be on Runway 14/32 this year. We will, however, be close to it, but we will make sure we do not impact your flight operations. Most of the work this year is on the ramp and in the hangar taxilanes.

The Airport Staff also hopes to be doing some pavement maintenance as soon as the weather is a little nicer, perhaps later this week. Our efforts will include crack filling, fog sealing, and perhaps a little painting. More to follow on this.

If you see people out looking at our pavements, this is what they are doing. Please give them some leeway, but also, they should give way to you if you need to get by in your aircraft.
