[Update 5/12/2017]
Weather – winds, temps, and potential rain – have caused us to postpone the work to fog seal and re-paint the West Ramp area. We got three good days this week, but it now appears that from now thru next week the weather will prevent much more work.
As you know, we don’t want to spray either oil or paint in the wind due to dissipation or overspray risks, and when it’s wet or the temps are too low the materials won’t adhere.
If we can work we will, so please pay attention to cones in the West Ramp area, or to equipment moving around, but I am doubtful there will be much activity thru next week.
If conditions change, I will update this message. As always, let me know if you have questions and feel free to forward this message to others who have a need to know.

Stead pilots and transient users,
To keep our ramp pavement in good shape for our home-based pilots, and our visitors, we will be doing some significant maintenance over the next couple weeks.
Beginning Monday, May 8, 2017 we will fog seal the west ramp from the west end of the grandstands to the Mizner Block, and from the taxilane exits of the mid-field hangars out to the RARA No Prop Line. During fog sealing we will preserve access to the hangars, but it may be offset from the normal taxilane centerlines, and may change daily depending on what was done the previous day. Conditions permitting the fog seal should be finished by Friday, May 12.
Monday, May 15- Friday May 19 we will be repainting the marking on the west ramp. There may be some alternative taxi routes during painting.
Vehicles may have to loop around work areas toward TWY A.
Please plan for a little additional time to navigate adjusted taxi routes each day. Or, for those who remember their Latin: Semper Gumby.
We will provide additional details in a tenant bulletin on Friday; our goal will be to make this as transparent as possible, but it will necessarily be a little less convenient than usual.
