We will be hosting this year’s Fire Extinguisher & Hangar Inspections BBQ 2-Day Event on Friday, May 19th & Saturday, May 20th, from 8:00am – 3:00pm; located in front of Ron Kirby & Dave Miller’s hangar (5499 Alpha).
The same company will be inspecting the fire extinguishers at the same cost, $10 for basic, $20 for hydro; you can drop them off either at Ron and Dave’s hangar the week of the inspections or here at the terminal building with me (please make sure all extinguishers are clearly marked with your hangar # or name, with phone number).
The one difference this year is that the City of Reno Fire department will be conducting the inspections, not the RTAA fire department, the inspectors will be looking for the same code violations, nothing different than in the past; I have attached a copy of the brochure with those guidelines.
I know these dates are not convenient for all, so if you are not available no worries; the City of Reno Fire will receive a list of all the hangars that were not available for these two dates, and they will be reaching out to you to schedule an inspection for a future date.
The City of Reno Fire stated it was necessary to do the hangar inspections annually.
We will also be providing the 30-yard dumpster for your spring-cleaning needs.
The Stead Staff will be firing up the grill at 10:30am – 1:30pm each day, we look forward to seeing you all.
