
As I indicated in my “Initial Info” bulletin, here is the follow-up detailed timings and instructions for tenant operations during PRS. I know it is a little long-winded, but please take a few to read. Two .pdf’s are attached: a copy of this email text and the cockpit knee board you can carry with you when flying.
The Reno Air Racing Association hosts the annual Pylon Racing Seminar (PRS) from Wednesday, June 5th thru Saturday, June 8th, 2019. As you know, this event constrains normal airport operations.
A TFR will be in place around RTS during the following times:
Wed, 5 Jun 0900-1710
Thur, 6 Jun 0745-1800
Fri, 7 Jun 0745-1730
Sat, 8 Jun 0745-1800
SFC – 10,500 MSL
During PRS the airport requires a 24 hour PPR for transient use, FULL STOP or departure only. Tenant use is facilitated during certain “windows” without PPR listed below:

RARA will be operating the “tower” while the TFR is in effect. The frequencies for use are:
Initial √ in for Departure (Taxi) “Ground” (126.4) (Will be Switched to Stead Tower (121.05) for T/O
Initial √ in for Arrival “Stead Tower” (121.05)
AWOS (State “With information PRS” on √ in) (135.175)
The Home Pylon north of RWY 8-26 will be up, as will Pylon Outer 1 between TWY B and RWY 14-32 from June 3 – 10, 2019.
Expect the following NOTAM’s and/or AWOS Remarks:
-Obstruction NOTAM’s for Home Pylon and Outer 1, June 3-10, 2019;
– NOTAM/AWOS Remark, AERODROME airport closed TRANSIENT aircraft except 24 hour prior permission required 775 – 328-6573/775 – 742-8515 June 5th, 2019 at 09:00AM PDT (0506191600) June 8th, 2019 at 06:00 PM PDT (0806190100);
-AWOS remark, no-prop/no-engine-turn line in effect for ramp west of grandstands, June 5-8. (please contact Airport Management @ (775) 328-6573 or (775) 742-8515
24 hours prior to your operation, so they can coordinate any required tow for you. If
you cannot reach Airport Management call RARA contact Jimmy Cassidy @ (775)
671-1440 who can also assist in arranging a tow for you.)

Attached to this Tenant Bulletin is a kneeboard-size non-participating aircraft procedures guide.
Printed copies are available at the Airport Office from Dani, and in the Pilot Lounge.
Please familiarize with it and print for use in the cockpit.
Related but not part of PRS: Sport and Jet Class airplanes will be doing their formation training from RTS daily, Saturday June 1 – Tuesday, June 4. These formations will sequence in/out of traffic on CTAF 122.7.
