As I indicated on Monday, September 17, we have some restrictions on Runway 14/32 and TWY A for the next few days.
As part of the project, the contractor is repainting the centerline on TWY A. I do not plan to “close” it, but there will be NOTAMs up for people and equipment working on it from Wednesday, September 19 thru Saturday, September 22. Airport users will need to avoid work areas by taxiing south of A on the ramp as they are headed to TWY B.
Here is the plan for TWY A:
Wednesday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, paint removal and clean-up;
Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, fog/oil sealing areas where paint was removed;
Friday and Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm repainting centerlines and lead-in lines from the ramp.
The second thing we have to do is the same process inside the runway intersection, but this will only be for 3 hours each morning. What this means for you is that there will be a daily NOTAM closing RWY 14/32 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am for traffic without a PPR. Tenants may plan to use Runway 14/32 north of TWY B1. Access is via either TWY B or TWY C.
Here is the plan for work in the runway intersection:
Thursday, 6:00 am to 9:00 am, paint removal and clean-up;
Friday, 6:00 am to 9:00 am, fog/oil sealing where paint removed;
Saturday, 6:00 am to 9:00 am, repainting runway markings.
NOTES:
1-after the fog/oil sealing, you want to avoid taxiing on it for several hours.
2-after painting you need to only wait 10 minutes or so (if the painters are gone, it’s dry).
This work is somewhat contingent on satisfactory weather conditions. Too cold, too windy, or too wet will delay the work. Please monitor my emails, NOTAMs and AWOS for current info.
Let me know soonest if you have a special need during the morning hours when use of 14/32 is restricted.
