Center Ramp Construction

Shown below is a copy of the construction area diagram that we showed at our Saturday breakfast.

Two notes about what the diagram shows:

One, the construction barriers will not impact TWY A, but will be close to the edge of the Taxiway Safety Area. Please use additional caution when taxiing on A or exiting the hangars via the taxilane just at the edge of the grandstands during this project.

Two, note that the construction staging and “haul” route crosses the east-west vehicle route many of you use between the terminal/FBO area and the hangar area. Please use caution driving along there and be ready for truck traffic crossing you direction of travel.

Q+D Construction should finish this project in 90 day, or by May 26, 2018, and we will get our center ramp back with new parking pads and taxilane striping to help aircraft get in and out of them. This project will enhance our ability to handle heavier aircraft during fire-fighting or other special operations.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me or one of the other Stead staff know. We will be meeting with the contractor every Tuesday morning during the construction to coordinate activities and tweak the plan if needed.
