Subject: STEAD TERMINAL/EOC CONSTRUCTION
In the interest of customer service, please note the following construction activity that will have an impact on your operation.
Beginning Monday, April 15, 2013 at 0700 hrs (7:00am), Q&D Construction will commence construction on the Stead Terminal/Emergency Operations Center project. The location of work is located between the Air Traffic Control Tower and Aviation Classics. The project consists of the construction of a 12,000 square foot, two-story building consisting of ; Airport Managers Office, Pilots Lounge, Emergency Operations Center/Community Room, lobby and leasable space.
Construction will begin April 15, 2013 (7:00am): Contractor will begin demolition of the existing Airport Managers Office. Construction work hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
The Project is outside of the airfield / apron areas and will not directly impact aircraft, vehicle, tenant, or FBO operations. The Airport Managers Office has been relocated to a temporary trailer. The Pilots lounge has been relocated to a temporary trailer adjacent to the Airport Managers Office. The main gate (Gate #1) will be unaffected by this construction. The project will also include work on Texas Avenue with separate Tenant Bulletins being issued prior to those activities.
The construction work will consist of site work, utilities and construction of a 12,000 square foot building. Pre-construction activities are complete with the construction fencing securing the site and the contractor’s trailer on-site. Personnel, materials and equipment will access the site from Texas Avenue. The project is scheduled for completion in December of 2013.
Updated Tenant Bulletins will be sent out at major milestones during the project and prior to the National Championship Air Races. A ceremonial groundbreaking is being planned and details will be coming soon.
